Single Digits!!

Tomorrow starts the 8th week till we get to see Kenley! I know Steve and I are getting very anxious just to see what she looks like. She loves kicking her daddy when he rubs my stomach or when its bedtime. Its the cutest thing! I haven't had any swelling in my hands or feet, just really severe back pain and the fact that she stays under my ribs. I usually sleep on a heating pad for a while and we bought this little hand held massager to use also. We have her crib up so as soon as my shower gets here we are going to get her room fixed up. I look like I'm carrying a basketball under my shirt...I get teased a lot for that thanks to my dad. Its getting closer so I'm definitely showing more and yes I have a picture of my belly.

Baby Laken is here!!

Jonna & Michael (Root) are now parents of a beautiful baby girl!! Baby Laken was born on Sunday, February 24. She is so adorable and looks like her daddy. Mom is doing great and baby Laken has been home for a week now. Everyone is doing good and loving having her here. Here are some pics of Baby Laken and the proud parents! Also, Baby Laken is named after Big Laken...and here are some pics of the both of them!!

Congrats Laken & Derek!

Laken & Derek are going to the STATE TOURNAMENT! I'm so happy for both of them and can't wait for it to begin. The Lady Blue Devils won the District Tournament, Region Tournament, and Sub State to get to the State Tournament in Murfreesboro. The girls won the first round yesterday and play Fri, and if they win play in the championship game on Saturday. Laken won MVP of the District and All Region in the Region Tournament! GO LAKEN!!! The Blue Devils advance to the State Tournament starting next week. The boys and girls were both able to host the SUB STATE at JCHS. This is the first time since the 70's that they have both been to STATE together! Blue Devils placed 3rd in the District and won the Region. Derek made both the District team and All Region Team! GO DEREK!! I know everyone is very proud of both of them and hopes they do well!! Laken is a Sophomore and up for MISS BASKETBALL and will find out Saturday night what the results are. Derek is a Senior and what a way to go out! I'm so proud of you and love you so much!!!

Counting The Days....

Well, I'm finally in my third trimester and have 11 weeks left. My appointments have moved to every two weeks now which is great because just means its getting closer. I had my glucose test Tuesday and failed it and go back Friday to sit for three hours for another glucose test. I'm not looking forward to it. The back pain is getting slightly worse. I seemed to never be able to get comfortable. My belly is growing everyday and my belly button is starting to pop out a little. It looks almost like a basketball has been stuck under my shirt. Steve has been having cravings too. When I eat, he eats. Its so cute though. Thought I would update a little about how the pregnancy is going!!

The First 25 Weeks!

So, it has been 25 weeks and it has been crazy, tiring, exciting, and unbelievable all at the same time. Its crazy how all these emotions can all be involved all at the same time. Here lately I've been experiencing severe backache. It seems like its constant and with Steve's back bothering him we are just a mess. I'm not for sure till next Tuesday how much weight I've gained but I definitely have put on some pounds. The only maternity clothes I have are pants and I have three shirts. My regular shirts are starting to not fit me like they used too and my belly is starting to come out of my t-shirts that I wear. Kenley is moving a lot. I love being able to feel her move around and she loves staying really close to me. I'm starting my third trimester and I'm excited knowing that she will be here soon. 15 weeks seems so far away but I know it will be here before I know it. The nursery is done. We just need to put her and all of her stuff in it and we will be ready. Here is a picture of my belly at 25 weeks!

23 Weeks...17 More To Go

Well, as of yesterday I'm 23 weeks and I'm starting to show. Kenley is definitely moving around more and more each day. She doesn't understand yet that when the lights go out, its bedtime. I'm feeling really good just the usual backache and wanting to eat all the time! Its fun though. We are starting on the nursery really soon and I can't wait. Her room theme is butterflies and we found her bedding. It is so adorable! We have the paint we just have to get in there and do it...because my husband just loves to paint and all. If you don't know him, that is the last thing he wants to do right now. Our next appointment is Feb. 12th and I have to have my glucose test done and get my blood drawn. I will be 26 weeks... I'm ready to see who this little person inside of me is and what she looks like. Not ready to show any pics of my belly yet but I'm sure they will come sooner or later!!

Christmas 2007

This was me and Steve's first Christmas together. I had so much fun during the holidays with him. We did Christmas in East Tennessee with his family the weekend before and had a big time. Hunter & Hayden were a force to be reckoned with there cousin Tyler. They had a blast. We came back home and woke up extremely early and did Christmas with Tyler which loved his new four-wheeler and then went to my parents. Kenley had a big Christmas also. She got some new clothes and a blanket. Steve and I had a big time too. I loved watching him open his presents. I hope everyone had a great Christmas and a Happy New Year.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS
From, Steve, Leslie, Tyler, Kenley, & Tyson Letterman
