9 Month Check-Up

Kenley had her check-up yesterday. Both ears are clear of infection, which I was really happy about. She is 30 inches long and 19.3 lbs. Her length is in the 95% and her weight is in the 60%. We are all caught up on shots and we go back at our 1 year appointment. Very exciting!!

See The Resemblance??

Here are some recent pictures, some of which were taken today. See how much Kenley looks like Steve and then look at me? I look like the odd ball.... : ( Maybe one day my child will somewhat look like her mommy. Oh, I got my hair cut!! Its extremely short and if you notice in the background we have been painting. We are sprucing the house up for Kenley's birthday party. Its looking good. I will post pictures later of the new colors.

Breaking News

We are getting closer and closer to walking. She has been taking a few steps at a time. At daycare on Monday she walking and lost her balance and busted her lip on the table. Poor little girl. She loves holding things in her hand because it helps keep her balance. Just thought I would update everyone...maybe the next post will be that she is walking everywhere. Friday we will know what she weighs and how tall she is. She is growing out of all her clothes! Her 9 month pictures are going to be next week sometime so I will post the website so everyone can see them.

Looking Sneaky

Kenley has been under the weather which you would never know by looking at her. On Thursday, we took our first trip to the ER. She had been vomiting a lot and all over me everytime I had her. Thursday night as we were getting her to bed it happened for the fourth time and we decided to be on the safe side and go get checked out. I had called an on call nurse and they wanted us to take her to the Dr. the next day but it got worse and we wanted to know what was wrong. She checked out okay. She is on an antibiotic and her cough is getting better. Hopefully all is well. We go back for a 9 month check-up on the 27th. She is so close to walking....maybe soon.

Update On the Letterman's

After Christmas and New Year's life has been a little hectic around here. With me starting back to school, Steve working, and getting little one home from daycare and bed its been crazy. Everyone is well and hopefully I can start posting more. I also forgot...I broke my camera!!! Its an easy fix and I just have to take it and I seem to never have time. Here are some updated pictures because Kenley changes everyday! Here are some things that she is doing now. She absolutely loves to stand up! She will crawl to something and constantly stand up and then cruise around the furniture to what she wants and she definitely gets into everything. She can self-feed herself now. She loves snacks and would snack all day if I'd let her. We are transitioning into a sippy cup which was hard at first but she is really getting into the hang of it. She loves drinking juice out of it. I can't believe how much she changes and she is almost 9 months!! We go to the Dr. later this month and find out how much she weighs and how tall she is.

2008

This year has definitely been a crazy one. I couldn't possibly name everything that has made our year overall a pretty good one. Here are some things that we thought of that made the list. In May of this year we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Steve's birthday. I started back to school full in August and hopefully by next December I will graduate. In November, Steve and I had been married for a year...it was a quick year too. Laken, Derek's girlfriend, won the State Championship in Murfreesboro. Baby Laken was born in February and Jonna and I hope that her and Kenley will be the best of friends. We got to experience my brother Sean get married to Leslie in Destin, FL and my little brothers graduation from high school. Since marrying Steve, I have spent more time with my brother and Stephanie...that has been really nice. Steve's family has been able to spend weekends with us here in Granville as well as us going to E. TN so they can see the kids as much as possible. I'm sure there have been other important highlights but at the moment I can 't remember them all.

Hopefully, 2009 will be a good year for our family and we can have more to talk to about. We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!

My family loves Christmas, especially my mom. We all get together and have a great time with each other...because partly my brothers are crazy, ha. This year Kenley got to enjoy her first Christmas even though she had no clue what was going on. She seemed to enjoy herself just as much as anyone else. We went to my Nanny's house on Christmas Eve and opened presents with her. I usually help mom with all her wrapping since she waits till the last minute to wrap everyones presents. Christmas morning, my brother Brian, decided that we needed to be at my parents around 5:30 AM to do our Christmas. Everyone was excited to see Kenley open presents so we did hers last since she had to have a lot more room than any of us. It was cute watching her reaction. We did Christmas with Kenley and Tyler that afternoon and back to moms for dinner. Here are pictures throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas.
