Awaiting Our Arrival

Hopefully by next Monday Kenley JoyceAnn will have entered this world. I think we are both ready as well as we can be. The bags are packed, the room is pretty much done, and I know that I'm ready for her to be here...at least my body is ready for her to be here. Its going to be a crazy week I'm sure just making sure we get everything together just in case she decides to come earlier than expected. I have gained a total of 22 pounds and I feel like my stomach can't go any further. I go back to the Dr.'s office Friday and hopefully we will be getting close to the big day.

Happy Mother's Day!

Today is Mother's Day and my wonderful husband bought me a cute soon-to-be mommy card! It was so sweet and of course I cried! I just want to thank him for putting up with my roller coaster of emotions for the past 9 months. Kenley is due to arrive next Monday and I'm anxiously awaiting till next Mother's Day when I will be a mom! I'm so lucky to have Steve in my life and I love him so much and can't wait wait to see what a great dad he will be!!

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to all of you mothers!!

Just thought I would post a picture of me and my belly. Only 4 weeks left and counting. I have a Dr.'s appointment this Friday and then I go every week after that. It has went by so fast. Hopefully the next time I post, Kenley will have already arrived!

Baby Shower

My family and friends threw me a baby shower on March 29. It was a lot of fun to see everyone and Steve and I got some presents for Kenley. She got a lot of outfits which was good. I'm very blessed to have such awesome friends and family. It was so sweet of them to do what they did. My cake was made by my aunt...didn't she do an awesome job or what! I also had a diaper cake which was made by my sister-n-law Stephanie and friend Julie who organized the whole thing and did all the invitations and decorating. Thank you guys so much because it turned out so cute!! I loved it!! Here are some pics and hope you enjoy!

Single Digits!!

Tomorrow starts the 8th week till we get to see Kenley! I know Steve and I are getting very anxious just to see what she looks like. She loves kicking her daddy when he rubs my stomach or when its bedtime. Its the cutest thing! I haven't had any swelling in my hands or feet, just really severe back pain and the fact that she stays under my ribs. I usually sleep on a heating pad for a while and we bought this little hand held massager to use also. We have her crib up so as soon as my shower gets here we are going to get her room fixed up. I look like I'm carrying a basketball under my shirt...I get teased a lot for that thanks to my dad. Its getting closer so I'm definitely showing more and yes I have a picture of my belly.

Laken & Derek are going to the STATE TOURNAMENT! I'm so happy for both of them and can't wait for it to begin. The Lady Blue Devils won the District Tournament, Region Tournament, and Sub State to get to the State Tournament in Murfreesboro. The girls won the first round yesterday and play Fri, and if they win play in the championship game on Saturday. Laken won MVP of the District and All Region in the Region Tournament! GO LAKEN!!! The Blue Devils advance to the State Tournament starting next week. The boys and girls were both able to host the SUB STATE at JCHS. This is the first time since the 70's that they have both been to STATE together! Blue Devils placed 3rd in the District and won the Region. Derek made both the District team and All Region Team! GO DEREK!! I know everyone is very proud of both of them and hopes they do well!! Laken is a Sophomore and up for MISS BASKETBALL and will find out Saturday night what the results are.
