2008

This year has definitely been a crazy one. I couldn't possibly name everything that has made our year overall a pretty good one. Here are some things that we thought of that made the list. In May of this year we gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Steve's birthday. I started back to school full in August and hopefully by next December I will graduate. In November, Steve and I had been married for a year...it was a quick year too. Laken, Derek's girlfriend, won the State Championship in Murfreesboro. Baby Laken was born in February and Jonna and I hope that her and Kenley will be the best of friends. We got to experience my brother Sean get married to Leslie in Destin, FL and my little brothers graduation from high school. Since marrying Steve, I have spent more time with my brother and Stephanie...that has been really nice. Steve's family has been able to spend weekends with us here in Granville as well as us going to E. TN so they can see the kids as much as possible. I'm sure there have been other important highlights but at the moment I can 't remember them all.

Hopefully, 2009 will be a good year for our family and we can have more to talk to about. We want to wish everyone a Happy New Year!!

My family loves Christmas, especially my mom. We all get together and have a great time with each other...because partly my brothers are crazy, ha. This year Kenley got to enjoy her first Christmas even though she had no clue what was going on. She seemed to enjoy herself just as much as anyone else. We went to my Nanny's house on Christmas Eve and opened presents with her. I usually help mom with all her wrapping since she waits till the last minute to wrap everyones presents. Christmas morning, my brother Brian, decided that we needed to be at my parents around 5:30 AM to do our Christmas. Everyone was excited to see Kenley open presents so we did hers last since she had to have a lot more room than any of us. It was cute watching her reaction. We did Christmas with Kenley and Tyler that afternoon and back to moms for dinner. Here are pictures throughout Christmas Eve and Christmas.

This year right before Christmas, we went to East TN for the weekend and spent Christmas with Steve's family. This year was extra special because now we had Kenley with us to enjoy this special holiday. I think I enjoyed it for her, she was more interested in the bows and wrapping paper. We had a great time with everyone!! We miss everyone and thank you for a great weekend! Love you all. Here are some pictures from our weekend.

Update...

Friday was Kenley's 6 month check up and this included getting more shots. She received the first dose of her flu shot and we got to see what her recent weight and height was. Since her last appointment she has been rolling over, crawling, and pulling herself up. She is now 27 1/2 inches long and is in the 93rd percentile for length and weighs 16.10 oz and is in the 50th percentile for weight. Her pediatrician said it was about time to change into a different car seat because she is getting too long for her other one. We go back in February for her 9 month check up! She is getting way too big way too fast. Its so sad...but fun and exciting also.

Kenley's 6 months party

I know I have it bad! She is my first child but I'm not the only one that spoils her. On my side she is the only grandchild and the first and of course she is a girl to top that off and Steve's side she is the only girl! Plenty of people help in spoiling her rotten! So we threw her a party. I made chili and vegetable soup for everyone and we had cake too. Yes, the cake did say, Happy 6 months Kenley. I told the woman at the bakery not to make fun of me for what she was about to write on this cake. She thought it was cute. She got some cute little toys to play with and some outfits. Enjoy the pics.

One Year Anniversary!

On November 3rd, Steve and I celebrated our first year of marriage. It doesn't feel like a year and we have both been through a lot but we wouldn't change none of it for the world. Monday was our anniv but I had class till that evening so Steve planned something special for us. He took me to the place we got married and it was lit up with candles and had flowers for me. We went out to eat that Saturday before and had a great time. I love being Mrs. Letterman and I'm so happy to be with my best friend! I love you!!

Kenley On the Go....literally

Kenley is over 6 months and yes I had her a little party, cake and everything. Well, she has been sitting up for a few months now and working on crawling. Yesterday, she took off! I was so excited to get to see her. Yes I taped it and took a ton of pictures. I sent out a massive txt message to family letting them know she was crawling. She is now getting into everything. I'm exhausted from keeping up with her. Its 3 pm and she just finally decided to take a nap. She is also pulling herself up and standing. Its so cute and can't wait for everyone to see her!
